Terms of Use
1. About these terms
XtraClass ("we", "us") offers online English tutoring (the "Service") at xtraclass.online. By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If the learner is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree on the learner's behalf.
2. Your account
Give us accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account. A family may share one login for several children. We may suspend an account that is misused.
3. Classes and booking
Classes are one-on-one video lessons of about 25 minutes. A class is confirmed once it appears in your schedule. The private classroom opens 30 minutes before the class. Each completed class uses one point. A no-show also uses a point. A class cancelled in time, or one that has to be repeated because of a technical problem, does not. Requests to change a time need approval. Every new learner gets one free trial class.
4. Fees and payment
Prices are shown in your currency before you pay. Online payments are handled by our payment provider, PayFast; we never see or store your card details. Refund and cancellation terms for paid plans will be confirmed here before online payments go live.
5. How we all behave
Be respectful. Do not record, photograph or screen-capture lessons without permission, and do not share the classroom link. All contact between teachers and learners stays inside XtraClass. If a teacher asks you to talk outside the app, please report it from the app.
6. Lesson materials
Lesson materials and Practice questions belong to XtraClass or its teachers. You may use them for your own learning, but not copy or resell them.
7. Keeping children safe
Classes are one-on-one video calls. Parents and guardians may ask to observe. We may share information when it is needed to protect a child or when the law requires it. Report any concern to hello@xtraclass.online.
8. Our responsibility
We work hard to give good lessons, but we cannot promise exam results or that the Service will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses. Nothing here limits your rights under South African consumer law.
9. Ending your account
You can stop at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end an account that breaks these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the version number and ask you to review the new version.
11. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
